1st Day at GS1 Global Forum 2016

First day has almost gone and is always a great feeling to realize that Saphety is real part of GS1 family. It’s to time review clients, partners and friends. The first morning in the event it’s difficult to describe. Perhaps the best is to imagine a moment when a family that is spread around the world gets together and is during this morning when we see each other’s all together for the first time. For the last years we have been supporting GS1 Global Forum, either with our presence either sponsoring it. Nevertheless, is an event that does not stop to surprise us: growing every year in terms of delegates but also gaining a crucial relevance within the several industry sectors (my congrats to all industry engagement people). For Saphety is also really good business too. Our customers are our best ambassadors and we want to make sure that we are right next to them during the event. Without them we cannot celebrate successes such as the present ones.

We try to get a glance of all sessions that are going on but with all the F2F meetings that are scheduled is not an easy task. However I’ve to admit that one related with Data Quality(The growth of global data synchronization adoption and the need for better B2C information – a strategic pillar of GS1) was the one that caught more of my time. Specially due to the contribution of Staffan Olsson (GS1 Sweden/Validoo) and Peter Johansson (ICA). Always learning.

Tomorrow is the Opening plenary. It’s a milestone of the event. And in the afternoon the Forum most  electric part: the Marketplace. We will be sponsoring the breaks during the morning and just not forget to  came to our stand and talk to us during the Marketplace. We promised that will not disappoint you.

My quote for today is:

The weather in Brussels is a small price to pay to be with “la creme dela creme” of GS1. Looking forward to the 2nd day. I hope you are too.
